Are the beaches of Wijk aan Zee open and accessible?

The beaches of Wijk aan Zee are open and accessible. Swimming in the sea is also allowed. Everyone in the Netherlands, also on the beach and in the sea, must keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from each other (unless they belong to the same household).

Are attractions, museums, theaters, restaurants, beach-pavilions, cafés and other tourist spots still open?

Since 1 June 2020, it is allowed for restaurants, beach pavilions, terraces and cafes to open again. Furthermore, many restaurants currently offer takeaway. Takeaway food at restaurants is also allowed.

Since 1 June 2020, it is allowed for theaters, concert halls, museums, monuments and cinemas to open again.

Are the shops and supermarkets open?

Supermarkets and shops are open and but need to follow the rules strictly.

Will events in Wijk aan Zee still take place as planned?

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Dutch government has decided that all events are canceled until Septemer 1, 2020.

Yes that is allowed. People from different households must always keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
