Arrival of Sinterklaas in IJmuiden and Wijk aan Zee 2026
In November, Sinterklaas comes to the coast. In IJmuiden the programme starts at the Loswalkade, and Sinterklaas travels via the Kennemerplein to Plein '45, where he is welcomed. Wijk aan Zee also has its own, smaller arrival.
What can you expect?
- IJmuiden: Arrival at the Loswalkade and a festive procession to Plein '45.
- Wijk aan Zee: A cosy village arrival, in 2025 starting at Doolhof.
- For children: Singing, waving and meeting the Pieten.
Practical information
The arrival in IJmuiden is free and usually takes place on a Saturday in mid November. The date for Wijk aan Zee will be announced later.
