Beaches
The beach at Wijk aan Zee is fairly flat and runs down fairly sharply. The seaside resort is situated directly at the open dune area, the 'Northern Dutch Dune Reserve’, that is very woody here and there. The sandy beach is nicely wide and also well suited for horse riding. The sand banks provide excellent waves.
