Wijk aan Zee

The family seaside resort Wijk aan Zee has a magnificent location against the Noord-Holland duin reservaat (North-Holland dune reserve) Because of its location in the middle of nature, this seaside resort is small in proportion but it has a wonderful atmosphere.

What does the beach have to offer?

Wijk aan Zee has the broadest beach of the Netherlands. The seawater here is considered the most clear. So in short, excellent conditions for a day at the beach. During the summer there are catamaran races by the coast. At the Noordpier (North pier) you will find one of the best places in the Netherlands to go surfing.

Wijk aan Zee is situated near an open dune area with a beautiful forest here and there. It is a beautiful are for walking and cycling. You can climb several dunes to enjoy the beautiful view of the area. One of those is the 30 meter high Paasduin, which offers a magnificent view. You can even see the sea-going vessels sail in and out of the piers.
